Steve Barron was born in Dublin Ireland. He started in films as a camera assistant on epic productions such as Richard Donner’s ‘Superman’, Richard Attenborough’s ‘A Bridge Too Far’ and Ridley Scott’s ‘The Duellist’.

Steve Is a pioneer of music videos, his involvement starting as early as 1977 with videos for ‘The Jam’, ‘Human League’, and ‘Adam and the Ants’. His work, amongst others was to inspire the formation of MTV. In 1982 he conceived and directed the award winning ‘Billie-Jean’ – the first single of Michael Jackson’s incredible Thriller’ album. More awards for videos followed. Dire Straits’ ‘Money for Nothing’ won Best Video at the 1986 MTV Awards and A-Ha’s ‘Take On Me’ has collected countless festival prizes from, amongst others, Montreux, New York, Cannes and Acapulco.

In 1991 Steve’s return to the music video arena won him a Grammy nomination for Dire Straits’ ‘Calling Elvis’ and the Billboard Best Director award for Natalie Cole’s ‘Unforgettable’ duet with her father, which reached No.1 across the world, selling over 12 million albums on the way. 1992 brought another MTV Video of the year nomination, Def Leppard’s ‘Let’s Get Rocked’, for its innovative and unique use of computer animation.

Steve’s narrative director credits include the first independent movie to break the $100m box-office in the US ‘TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES’, UK World Cup hit ‘MIKE BASSETT–ENGLAND MANAGER’, the BFI released New York indie ‘CHOKING MAN’ and the TV mega-series’ ‘MERLIN’, ‘ARABIAN NIGHTS’ and ‘DREAMKEEPER’. He has won numerous awards including a DGA Directors nod and his films have been nominated for twenty-five Emmy’s and 5 Golden Globes.

Scott Altman is a Dublin-born director based in London. He studied Art and Animation at Ballyfermot Art College and has trained with UCLA & P I X A R. During his College years, Scott worked part time at Ardmore Film Studios, Ireland, as part of the physical effects team for features and television.

On graduating Scott received funding from the Irish Film Board/Bord Scannán na hÉireann for his first animated short film “The Crackle Of The Crack”. The film tells a visual story of a lonely rat who turns to crack cocaine to escape a gloomy inner-city life. Before moving to London Scott lived in Bangkok where he worked as a Senior Animator on commercials and music videos for the Asian market. As well as designing, modelling and animating 3d characters and effects, Scott was also on set to assist with visual effects.

In the Summer of 2006 Scott was offered a position with MTV International as Lead 3d Animator for the MTV Europe Music Awards 2006. Cleaning up at the Promax Awards for the graphics created, Scott was once again asked back by MTV in 2007 and 2008 to CG Supervise the Europe Music Awards.

With a great response to a self invested video for Digitalism, Scott felt the time was right to make the crossover from animation to directing fulltime in 2010 and is now represented by Mrs Grey.
